Migration, identity, email, endpoint, and compliance engineering from the same Microsoft 365 consultant.
Most Microsoft 365 projects fail at the intersection of identity and email. The licensing is straightforward. The hard parts are Entra ID sync, Conditional Access, hybrid Exchange coexistence, and making sure endpoint policies don't break productivity on day one. These are the problems this practice exists to solve.
The work spans the full tenant lifecycle: pre-migration assessment, identity architecture, pilot testing, staged or cutover migration execution, security baseline hardening, and the post-migration stabilization phase that most vendors hand off too early. If you inherit a broken tenant — missed SPF records, legacy authentication still enabled, admin accounts with no MFA — that cleanup is also in scope.
Every engagement starts with an assessment before any work is quoted. For a migration project, that means reviewing your Active Directory health, existing DNS and mail flow configuration, current licensing, and any legacy infrastructure that needs to coexist or be decommissioned. Surprises found after cutover are expensive. Surprises found during assessment are just configuration notes.
Project work is scoped in phases. Phase one is almost always identity: get Entra ID sync right and the rest of the migration has a solid foundation. Phase two handles the primary workloads — Exchange, SharePoint, Teams. Phase three is security baseline and Intune. This order matters because fixing identity after email migration is significantly harder than getting it right first.
This is for healthcare organizations managing HIPAA obligations in Microsoft 365, mid-market companies doing their first cloud migration, and enterprise teams that need a single engineer who can work across identity, email, endpoint, and compliance rather than coordinating four separate vendors. If you want generic license advice, this is not the right fit. If you need someone who has actually run PowerShell against a production tenant and knows why the Hybrid Configuration Wizard silently fails on Edge Transport servers, this is.
Remote work is standard. Most Microsoft 365 migrations are completed without an on-site visit. For healthcare clients, a brief on-site presence during cutover week is sometimes preferred and can be arranged.
The most frequent reasons organizations reach out: an Exchange Server going out of support, a failed or stalled migration a previous vendor couldn't finish, a Microsoft 365 tenant with security gaps flagged by a compliance audit, a Google Workspace contract expiring, or a merger requiring tenant consolidation. All of these have been worked through before.
A simple cutover migration for a 50-seat organization takes 2–4 weeks when identity is clean. Hybrid Exchange migrations with legacy on-premises infrastructure take 6–12 weeks depending on complexity. Google Workspace to M365 migrations land in between. The assessment will give you a realistic timeline before any commitment is made.
Yes. Healthcare is a significant portion of this practice. Microsoft 365 configuration for HIPAA-covered entities includes Business Associate Agreement execution with Microsoft, Information Barriers, sensitivity labels, Purview compliance policies, and conditional access policies that satisfy audit requirements without breaking clinical workflows.
Licensing is available through the CSP program and can be bundled with project work. It can also be purchased directly through Microsoft or another reseller — that part is flexible. The consulting work is independent of how you purchase licenses.
